Quilting Calendars

The end of the year is fast approaching and it’s that time again.  Time to give and get calendars for the new year. 

However, you may think that in this digital world with smartphones, laptops, and tablets, it may seem like the lowly calendar is a thing of the past.  Keeping track of birthdays, anniversaries, appointments, vacations, playdates, sports events, TV shows can be done on digital devices. So, is the ordinary paper calendar obsolete?

The truth is that a physical reminder, especially the month-at-a-glance calendars with all the important dates and events listed, helps everyone in the family knows exactly what is happening and when.  The desk calendar with unique pictures, verses, jokes, crafts, and saying can put a smile on anyone’s face.  Children calendars can get kids involved in some type of daily activity and reduce screen time.

Calendars have been a Christmas tradition in our family for over 40 years.  The calendar is the first gift I give on Christmas day to everyone in the family – from baby to adult.

With the wide selection of categories and types, calendars make a great holiday gift for parents, teachers, friends and loved ones. A calendar is a gift that keeps on giving throughout the year.
