Annette visited this shop which is Amish-owned quite a few years ago. It caters to the Amish community with a selection of polyester fabric and some quilting fabric. However, notions like zippers were really inexpensive. It has no online presence.

Visited August 2025! Unfortunately downsizing soon to have more longarm. But will retain wool kits. They have a couple wool kits, and there are also patterns and a larger supply of wool cuts for decent prices. Right now they have a small selection of fabrics, but quite a few kits and patterns.

Another fabric store Chris and Annette visited in June 2022. It's now only an online store! The owner, Gail Kessler, is the designer of the Andover Dimples line of fabric. Along with her collection of fabric, Ladyfingers features fabrics from other fine companies and lot of sewing kits. She appears to gear toward brighter colors. A Bernina Excellence Dealer and Accuquilt distributer.

|
Very large selection of fabrics, not only quilting cotton, but flannel, fleece, double-sided velvet, etc. Some knick-knacks/finished crafts. There is bargain fabric in the basement for good deals.

If you are near Shippensburg in central Pennsylvania, Martin’s is a wonderful full-service shop and they sell all types of Bernina sewing machines. Martin’s is owned by a Mennonite family and they are very friendly and give wonderful expert service. They have cleaned several of my machines, and they are very knowledgeable. I highly recommend them! They don't have a web site.

This is a Mennonite or Amish run store so it doesn't have much of an online presence. This is a favorite stop for retreat goers in the Greencastle area.

This is a full service shop that has many Brother sewing and embroidery machines. They also carry many Baby Lock, Elna and Janome machines. Fabric and patterns are also available here. They are a Brother Authorized Service center and I highly recommend them to service your Brother machine. I took mine in and they fixed my machine to tip top shape and were very reasonable with their price.

A medium selection of fabrics, lots of pre-cuts of various sizes, lots of yarn, some wool felting and small handwork embroidery kits. They also do classes. A modest amount of clothes/garment fabric, in very cute patterns!
