Looking for some Hanukkah crafts for kids to make this holiday season? This is the page to find all things Hanukkah crafts for kids. We do have another page of adult Hanukkah crafts as well, so be sure to peek over there, too!
What is the most important tradition in Hanukkah?
The most important and well-known tradition in Hanukkah is the lighting of the menorah each evening.
And there is no shortage of menorah crafts for kids to make on this page! There are tutorials and articles showing how to make menorahs for kids of all ages.
Get the toddlers and young kids to work on the menorah yarn wrapping of popsicle sticks to make candles. It’s a fun activity and the youngest crafters can practice basic fine motor skills while making this menorah.
Handprint crafts become special keepsakes and the handprint menorah from Alpha Mom is no exception. Handprints become the candles with pom pons to glue on the tips to “light” the candles for 8 nights.
For those 5 and up, check out the DIY Hanukkah menorah for kids offered by Michaels. This is one of my favorite craft activities on this page.
The kids paint clothespins (blues and white work well for this holiday) and add a flame to the end of each clothespin. The clothespins become candles to clip on a stand each night of Hanukkah.
And who doesn’t just love printable pages to color or paint with watercolors? There are several links to sites full of Hanukkah printable pages, so grab a few of these creative coloring sheets.
Kids love the dreidel game and there are many dreidel crafts for kids to make below.
The Hanukkah dreidel craft from DLTK’s Site for Kids is a printable page that is colored and cut to assemble a 3-D dreidel. Coloring and cutting out is easy enough for littles, but the youngest ones may need help assembling the dreidel.
Don’t miss the dreidel sewing craft necklace! With help, the younger kids can learn sewing skills by sewing two felt dreidel shapes together to add with pony beads in order to create a happy, smiling necklace.
Older kids will love doing this craft without help and will enjoy designing the face of the happy dreidel.
Spend some time looking through this extensive list of exciting Hanukkah crafts for the kiddos. And get everyone into the spirit of the holiday!
