Milo the Reindeer is a crochet amigurumi project stitched by Chris.  Milo is a large stuffed animal 21" tall to the top of his antlers.

I saw a post for Milo the Reindeer on Facebook recently and showed him to my child, Milo.  Milo was excited and wanted me to make them the reindeer with the same name.Milo the Reindeer - Crochet Project - fb

Milo the Reindeer was made from a pattern purchased from One & Two Company.  The pattern comes with multiple versions of the reindeer.  Their largest reindeer was stitched with super bulky yarn and came out to be 12” tall.

The smallest one is only 5.9" tall and stitched with sport yarn so they can really range in size depending on the yarn used in the project.

The downloadable PDF pattern comes with instructions to stitch all parts of the reindeer and accessories like a collar with bells or a scarf like Milo has on.

The pattern also comes with a “Certificate of Adoption” so if he is gifted, the certificate can be gifted with him.

After purchasing the pattern, I ventured to the store to pick out some yarn.  Milo wanted a large reindeer so I ended up selecting some Bernat Blanket Extra Yarn.

I guess this yarn is extra bulky because my version of Milo the Reindeer turned out about 10" taller than the designer's largest one!

Milo the Reindeer is a little front-heavy and likes to fall onto his nose.  But, if I adjust him just right, he will stand up tall.

It has stuffed animal safety eyes and is stuffed with polyester fiberfill.

Milo the Reindeer is stitched with mostly single crochets, increases, decreases, and half-double crochets.  Click the links to find tutorials on the stitches. If you are left-handed, check out our left-handed single crochet or left-handed half-double crochet tutorials.

The instructions for stitching Milo are very detailed and have a lot of photos so it helps when stitching him.

What do you think of Milo?  Let us know in the comments section of the YouTube video.

I hope you enjoyed seeing Milo the Reindeer made by me.

Happy Crocheting!

Chris
