I am fairly new to the T-shirt yarn craze; sometimes motherhood gets in the way of keeping up with new trends. I also just learned that T-shirt yarn is also called T-yarn. Makes sense.
For those of you like me, T-shirt yarn is just what the name implies; yarn made from old T-shirts!
Just take those out-grown or raggy T-shirts, or buy some t-shirts really cheap at the thrift store, and cut them up!
