I am fairly new to the T-shirt yarn craze; sometimes motherhood gets in the way of keeping up with new trends. I also just learned that T-shirt yarn is also called T-yarn. Makes sense.

For those of you like me, T-shirt yarn is just what the name implies; yarn made from old T-shirts!

Just take those out-grown or raggy T-shirts, or buy some t-shirts really cheap at the thrift store, and cut them up!

If you go the DIY route, there are specific directions for how to cut the T-shirts up, and we have a great link to show you how to make T-shirt yarn.

On this page, we are going to give you some great craft ideas using this funky yarn!
