ABBREVIATIONS:

  • Ch – chain
  • Sl st – slip stitch
  • Sc – single crochet
  • Dc – double crochet
  • Beg - beginning

EASTER BASKET PATTERN:

Ch 4 and join with slip stitch to form a ring.

ROUND 1

Recycled Plastic Bag Easter Baskets - Round 1 Ch 1, 9 sc in ring, join with sl st in beg ch1.

ROUND 2

Recycled Plastic Bag Easter Baskets - Round 2 Ch3, 2 dc in first stitch, *1 dc in next sc, 2 dc in next*, repeat between * - * to end of round, join with sl st in top of ch3.

ROUND 3

Recycled Plastic Bag Easter Baskets - Round 3 Ch3, dc in same stitch, 2 dc in each dc to end of round, join with sl st in top of ch3.

ROUND 4

Recycled Plastic Bag Easter Baskets - Crochet Back Loop Ch3, dc in back loop of each stitch around entire basket, sl st in top of ch3.
(Note: When round 4 is completed, the basket sides are being created)

Recycled Plastic Bag Easter Baskets - Round 4

ROUND 5

Ch3, dc in each dc to end of round, slip stitch in top of ch3.

ROUND 6 & 7

Recycled Plastic Bag Easter Baskets - Round 6 - 7 Repeat round 5.

HANDLE

Recycled Plastic Bag Easter Baskets - Handle To make a sturdier handle, add another length of plastic bag yarn.

Chain 22 stitches and attach handle to opposite side of basket. Recycled Plastic Bag Easter Baskets - Crochet Handle The basket is finished.
