The leg on my drop-leaf table fell off.

Learn how I reattached a wooden leg to a table.

Please note, I am not a professional carpenter. However, if I think I can fix something I try. This is how I fixed the problem.

HOW TO REATTACH THE LEG TO THE TABLE

STEP 1:
Drill out the old broken wooden pegs that are in the table and the leg.

STEP 2:
Use a coping saw, cut two new pegs out of a dowel.

STEP 3:
Before doing any gluing, place the leg back on the table insuring that the dowels are the proper size and the table and leg align correctly.

STEP 4:
I used liquid nail to attach the leg to the table. Place some liquid nail in the holes in the leg and insert dowel pegs into the glued holes.

STEP 5:
Put some liquid glue in the holes on the table. Align the dowel pegs on the leg with the glued holes on the table and press the leg firmly against the table.

When the joint is closed, if you can, use a clamp to hold the leg to the table.
