This quilt was super easy to make using the Star Wars Character Quilt Kit. The project can easily be completed in a weekend.
All the fabric for making the quilt front was included in the kit. The kit had two 100% printed cotton panels and complete instructions. Backing and batting were not included.
All Chris had to do was just measure, cut and sew.
The approximate finished size is 37" x 54".
After completing the front, Chris assembled a quilt sandwich by placing the front, batting and backing together and pinning everything in place. The quilt was machine quilted by quilting around each character and then used straight line quilting in the borders. She give the quilt a little pop by using silver metallic thread.
Chis wanted a quick binding so she folded strips of fabric in half, attached them to the back of the quilt, flipped them around to the front and used the serpentine stitch to finish the binding.
The quilt was then ready to use! Her son could snuggle up with it while watching his favorite Star Wars movie or use as a cover on his bed.
