INSTRUCTIONS for building lego pencil holder

STEP 1: GATHER LEGO

Lego Pen & Pencil Holder with Memo Pad Holder - LEGO Pencil Pot SuppliesWith LEGO you already have at home, gather up the necessary supplies.  For this pencil holder project, I used a combination of two colors of LEGO bricks - black and white.  However, the LEGO pencil pot can be made with any color combination or build a colorful pencil holder by using multi-color blocks.

This LEGO pen and pencil holder is very versatile.

STEP 2: BASE

How to make Lego Pencil Holder with Memo Pad Holder - Plate PiecesTo make the base of the pencil and memo pad holder, attach base plates together to measure 12 x 14 studs long.

STEP 3: PENCIL HOLDER

The pencil holder is placed on one side of the base plate and consists of 10 rows of bricks.  The memo holder is on the other side and is six bricks high.

To build the pencil holder:

1) Row 1:  Begin with the first color of LEGO and build a rectangle 10 x 12 at one end of the base plate.Lego Pen & Pencil Holder with Memo Pad Holder - First Layer
