Kate selected the sheep and bunny for her pillow. She used an embroidery machine and the pattern from Kreative Kiwi (see link for pattern below) to make the animal appliques.
She then cut a piece of fabric the size of the pillow form plus 1". She selected the green fabric for the grass & hill and cut that piece of fabric to put in the background. She then cut out clouds and sewed the fabrics to the backing fabric with a zig zag stitch.
Once the background was complete, she placed the animals onto the background. She put the bunny in the foreground and the sheep on the hill.

After the front was completed, she cut two more pieces of fabric which were the same width as the inital fabric and 3/4 the height of the fabric. One side of each piece was folded down 1/4" and then 1/2" and sewn down. The pieces were then laid on the front of the pillow with right sides together and sewn all around. This made an envelope back for the pillow which allows for the inserting of the pillow form.
