Can I make my own stencils?
Yes! Simply find a design or pattern on any of the sites below Print them on the printer either on paper or transparencies. If it is printed on paper, the design will need to be transferred to a transparency.
The most time consuming portion of making stencils is cutting out the stencil from the transparency.
Using an X-acto knife and a cutting mat, cut the stencil. That’s it! It’s ready to use.
An alternate method of creating a stencil is to use freezer paper. This works best on fabric. Scroll down for ideas on how to use freezer paper in stencil making.
