Sock Wine Bottle Cover (Dollar Store Craft)

A festive way to wrap a wine bottle!

Just giving plain unwrapped wine as a hostess gift or Christmas gift is soooo boring.  Do you want a quick, easy and inexpensive idea for gift-wrapping a bottle of wine?  THINK SOCKS.

A sock wine bottle cover is a creative and clever way to bring a bottle of wine to the next party or get-together event.  After purchasing the wine, just stop by the dollar store to buy a pair of knee-high socks and some ribbon.  Then, go home and within a few minutes, you will have a unique bag cover for the wine.

Do you like the mason jar trend?  Are you giving a holiday gift in a mason jar?  A DIY fabric mason jar topper will add a special touch and impress the recipient.  If you need some holiday ideas for kids, we have a lot of free projects for kids.

Now let's get back to the sock wine bottle cover.  Watch this video to learn how to make a wine bottle bag with socks and continue reading this post for a photo tutorial with step-by-step instructions.

Sock Wine Bottle Cover - Make Bow With the second sock, make a bow.  To make the bow fold the two ends of the sock to the middle and tie a ribbon around the center.

After the bow is complete, with the ribbon tie the bow around the neck of the bottle.

VIOLA! The quick and easy bottle cover is complete.  What a nice way to wrap up a wine bottle and the wearable knee-high socks are an extra bonus.

This technique can be used for any occasion where you are giving a bottle of wine including birthdays, Valentine's Day, weddings, get-togethers or just as a fun gift.
