This monthly crate we received is the standard membership crate. The theme this month is “Ice Scream” and we could have received one of 4 pretty colors. Let’s see what color we received. Wow, look at this pretty yarn. It’s a Vidalana yarn and the color is called “Chewies”. It’s a fingering weight superwash merino, nylon and cashmere yarn. It’s really soft!
The package also contains two patterns. One knit pattern is named “Minty Fresh” to make this shawl. The second pattern is Lemoncello and it will make this cover up. A URL to download the two patterns is included on the card in the crate. Also included are discount codes to purchase other patterns from one designer.
If you subscribe to the KnitCrate Monthly plan for $24.99 per month you will receive at least two skeins of KnitCrate’s premium in-house yarn. You will also receive two exclusively designed patterns, one crochet and one knit pattern each month. You also receive bonus codes and 25% off the member central shop and you also earn KnitCrate Stash points which can be used towards your subscription or other items in the shop.
Next we have a second subscription box this month. This is their Sock Crate. This is the first month we have received the Sock Crate and we’d like to thank Knitcrate for sending this one to us this month. Let’s see what’s inside.
The sock crate theme is also “Ice Scream” and it contains this one skein of pretty variegated yarn. It’s by Knitologie and the color is “Mirrors”. This one is also fingering weight and it’s made of superwash merino and nylon.
The pattern which comes with this crate is called “Ski Slope” and it makes these cute socks. There is also a discount code this month for the designers store.
The sock crate is $19.95 per month which includes shipping. The sock crate includes one skein of hand dyed premium sock yarn in a limited edition colorway. It also includes bonus codes and one pattern. You also get 25% off in the member central shop and you also earn Knitcrate Stash Point which can be used towards your subscription or other items in the shop.
