Needlepointers.com is the result of a mother/daughter team that has a great passion for handcrafts. Both Annette Rosanelli and her daughter, Chris Rickert, inherited their love of crafting from generations of women in their family, including their grandmother and great-grandmother. And for years, the two have used crafting as a way to spend quality time together at least once a week.
Some of the crafts the pair enjoy include counted cross stitch, sewing, knitting, embroidery, quilting and needlepoint—all crafts that involve the use of a needle. So it was no surprise that this duo chose to use the word needle in the site’s name. And since they wanted to share information about their favorite crafts by providing helpful hints, tips and suggestions, they chose pointers to complete the website’s name. Put the words together and you have Needlepointers.com!
In Oct 2011, the pair started their Youtube channel, Needlepointers, and it has grown to over 45,000 subscribers, 500 videos and 7 million views. Click the Youtube link at the top of the page to see our videos, more photos and written directions for a lot of the projects or visit our Youtube channel. Subscribe to our channel to keep up with the new videos we post.
Follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Pintrest to keep up on new projects we are working on and new videos.
Chris serves as the site’s webmaster, designer and programmer while Annette locates all of the content and links enjoyed by Needlepointers.com’s guests since September 1998. They constantly strive to improve both the technical and creative parts of the website and welcome your comments.
Both Annette and Chris hope that visitors will find Needlepointers.com a one-stop crafting resource center where they can find free information and projects for a wide variety of crafts. By offering crafters the ability to buy supplies online and have the merchandise delivered to their doorsteps, the pair hopes crafters will have more time to enjoy both old—and new—crafts.
